The Battle House in downtown Mobile was the perfect setting for this couples session. With its historic architecture, warm interiors, deep tones, and beautifully detailed spaces, it created the kind of moody atmosphere I love so much. Every hallway, doorway, and corner felt like it belonged in another era.
Rather than trying to make every image feel perfectly posed, we let the setting do some of the storytelling. Walking through the hotel, leaning into the architecture, slowing down between photos, and simply enjoying being together created images that felt natural while still having that editorial, cinematic quality.
I especially love sessions like this because they don't need a wide open field or golden hour to feel romantic. Sometimes the best backdrop is an old building with character, beautiful light, and a little bit of history behind it.
